Caliban’s Pour cocktail
- 1½oz cognac
- ½oz black strap rum
- ⅓oz rich simple syrup (brown, 2:1)
- ¼oz Braulio amaro
Stir, serve up in a chilled coupe.
Other rums tested:
- Plantation (Aged 5 Years) - also very nice
Honeyed variant
Replace the rum with more cognac, add ¼oz yellow chartreuse. Tastes like a complex mead.
Rhubarb variant
- 1½oz cognac
- ½oz black strap rum
- ⅓oz rabarbaro sfumato
- ¼oz rich simple syrup
- ½oz orgeat
