Dandelion Rye cocktail

  • 2oz rye whiskey (Bulleit)
  • ⅓oz rich simple syrup (2:1)
  • ¼oz amaro (St Agrestis, Fernet Leopold)
  • ⅛oz maraschino liqueur
  • (optional) dash of absinthe

Stir with ice and strain into a chilled coupe, garnished with a lime twist or cherry.
