Old Fashioned Banana cocktail

  • ½oz crème de banane
  • 1-2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • ¼oz overproof Jamaican rum (Smith & Cross)
  • 1oz barrel proof bourbon (Old Forester Single Barrel)

Stir and serve over a large rock, garnished with a cherry. Allow plenty of dilution due to the high proof spirits.

Really nice blend of the flavours, clear bourbon richness and banana candy without either one dominating. This much Smith & Cross in almost any other drink would overwhelm but here it takes a back seat and bridges the flavours.
