Semi-perfect variant

Split the vermouth 50-50 dry and sweet (Cocchi Rosa).

Nice bitter/sweet balance, but the Cocchi drowns the brandy a bit.

Beehive State - bitters variant

  • 2oz California brandy (Argonaut Saloon Strength)
  • ½oz dry vermouth
  • 6 dashes Bitters Project Honey Hops & Gin bitters

Subtle and complex, honey shines through in the nose and palate, brings out the brandy. Very dry, some drinkers might prefer adding ¼oz honey syrup
